John focusses on supporting family owned business clients, through consultancy projects, to help them move through transition and change. He has worked with an array of family owned business clients, from smaller owner managed businesses to international family businesses.
John has held a number of academic posts, including the Grant Thornton Fellow in Family Business at the University of Gloucestershire. He also developed the UK’s first MBA for Family Business and Post-Graduate Certificate in Family Business Advising.
John’s recent work has been with OneFarm at Massey University in New Zealand. This organisation combines the capabilities of leading New Zealand researchers, industry experts and rural professionals in order to provide education, training and professional development.
He is currently involved in the delivery of two ground breaking programmes for professional advisors, in Governance and Succession.
